Wall Balls are a big part of many functional fitness training regimens. They are most often used for exercises like wall ball shots, thrusters, and get-ups, but with a little imagination they can be used for an astounding array of compound exercises. Wall Balls are also especially good for any sort of twisting movement and are a great way to add resistance to ab training. For more examples of how you can use your ZIVA Wall Ball, check out our Training Club.
The great thing about Wall Balls is that they are one of the few pieces of exercise equipment that are easily adaptable for both individual and group use. There are many examples of individual exercises you can find on the ZIVA Training Club and with only slight variation these can be transformed into exercises for 2+ users. The beauty of the Wall Ball lies in its versatility.
Picking the right size Wall Ball isn't as hard as you might think. If you are just beginning on your fitness journey, we recommend you go on the lighter side but make sure you choose a weight that is heavy enough to be challenging. A useful rule of thumb is to first check how many pushups and squats you can do in total in under a minute, and divide by half. So if you can do 20 pushups and 20 squats in 59 seconds, you should be using a 10 lbs. Wall Ball. But remember that different exercises may require different weights, so you may even want to get two different sizes.
Totally! There are a ton of exercises that you can perform safely and easily at home using a Wall Ball. Thrusters, wall ball get-ups, torso twists, and even some throws are perfectly suitable for the home gym!
The ZIVA Wall Ball, like all of our exercise equipment, is made in our state of the art manufacturing facilities and uses the very best materials for its construction. This means it lasts longer, looks better, and feels far more premium.
